We’re coming to the end of February very soon but an end is also the beginning, and of what? Of March, duh! Anyway, ILOVEMAKONNEN will be releasing an album on Warner Bros. called Drink More Water 6
and yes, that’s a mixtape. March 18th is the release date and from it is the song “Sellin'”, which they want to do with this.
A new street album has been organized by Murda Mook, T-Rex and Dutch Brown, who are united under the name DOTMOB and merging everything together is DJ Whoo Kid, which might lead some to say “who, kid?” Listen to the new mixtape for yourself, it’s called Fuxk The Politics.
Brand new slice, a cut if you will, from Tone Tone, taken from his 11627 Gangsta Grillz that is now just around the corner from the release date, and when? Thursday, March 3rd. Get “High” with him and see where the buzz’ll take you.
Rock with a slap from punk and a hint of pop: those are the words you can use to describe the music and talents of Ali Beletic or you don’t have to believe me at all. Listen to a song from her forthcoming debut album due on June 17th called Legends Of These Lands Left To Live, to be released by Lightning Records. Thet song was shared on NPR and now everyone can listen to “Stone Fox”. Will she be heading towards the metaphorical next level? She definitely has the potential, and this song is proof.
J. Rhodan is a producer out of Philadelphia and you’ll be hearing a lot from him, as he is now signed to Illect Recordings. The first single between the two is called “Old You”, and it’s the first single from his new album out on Friday. Have a listen and get to know a bit more about him and his music, along with some special guests helping him out in this.
Rite Hook is in a recording studio to drop a verse but he doesn’t want to do it alone. He brings in the person who will do this right and his name is The Arcitype abd together they give you something that is very much “On The Spot”.
Slinky and slanky may or may not be the right words to describe this new song by Tracy Bryant but that’s what I’m going to use to deal with it or say “hey, I want to listen to it and find out if he’s right.” If I’m wrong, that’s fine, for I got you to listen, didn’t I? Bryant has released “The Gun”, taken from his new album Subterranean
(Burger) released last Friday.
Released today is a new single by Portland group Southerly out on Self Group. “Meeting Marie” is the very orchestral song by the band lead by Krist Krueger while it is virtually backed with “Moon Sets The Sun”, a metaphorical way of making one song the sunrise (“Meeting Marie”), the other song the sunset. Both songs will be on their forthcoming album called Broadcast Live From So, So, So due out in the spring.

It was the late radio announcer Casey Kasem who said “keep your head on the ground and keep reaching for the stars” and now Fool Boy Marley is taking things his own way with his new project nicely called “Reaching For The Stars”, nicely put together by producer Dre Butterz with a nice dose of that gravy.
