The Monolith is about to release a new album on AR Classic Records called Darwin’s Frankenstein and this is a hint of what’s to come on August 18th. This is titled “Good Night For A Daydream”, nicely produced by Rain.

VIDEO: Dale Crover’s “Bad Move”
Melvins drummer Dale Crover will be releasing his debut solo album after playing with the same band for 422 years. In truth, more like close to 35 years and while Crover has done a good amount of session work and a solo EP in 1992 for Boner, he has never done a full solo album. That will change with The Fickle Finger Of Fate (Joyful Noise Recordings) and for the first video, he goes back 37 years ago to honor the solo video for Paul McCartney, “Coming Up”. Check out “Bad Move” and see if Crover has any bad moves. The album will be out on August 4th but you can pre-order it below via Amazon.com.
AUDIO: Astari Nite’s “The Girl Who Tried”
“Astari Nite channels an obscure beauty in the crossfire between new-wave and post-punk” is what the press releases says but do want to believe it? I’m dingling a new track from them so I am hopeful it is enough to convince you to take a listen. It is from their latest EP Dreams Of Majesty (Cleopatra Records (US)/Danse Macabre (Europe)) and is the second single from it.
VIDEO: Kosha Dillz featuring Meir Kay’s “I Love Monday”
It was Bob Geldof and the rest of the Boomdown Rats who told everyone they didn’t like Mondays while Prince said the day could be a manic one. Kosha Dillz says no, there’s a lot to enjoy about the first work day of the week and says so in “I Love Monday”, a track he not only did with Mier Kay but Kay also helped direct the clip.
SOME STUFF: Grynch releases new EP
Seattle rapper Grynch has something new for 2017 but don’t just call this his new “summer joint” but it is a joint worth checking out. It’s an EP called On A Good One but you could say this is also “On A Good Siox” as it features six brand new cuts, including two remixes. You can stream and listen but show some support by buying it through Bandcamp.
VIDEO: Adam Reverie’s “Hunger”
Adam Reverie has been a bit busy in the last few months and perhaps this video is a bit of proof of this. “Hunger” is his latest clip, directed by Uprising.TV, which shows how well Mr. TV does things. You are sure to be hearing and seeing more from Reverie, trust me.
