VIDEO: A-Trak featuring Andrew Wyatt’s “Push”

Lions or tigers or A-Trak: oh my, it’s a new song by A-Trak which ahs been turned into a new video. The song in question features Andrew Wyatt, which may be a good enough reason to want to listen, watch, and dance to this. This is “Push”, so push it. Real good.

VIDEO: The Roots featuring A-Trak & The Metropolis Ensemble’s “Never (Live on The Tonight Show):

In support of their brand new album, The Roots performed “Never” on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, bringing on DJ A-Trak and the Metropolis Ensemble to help out. The vibe of the song may make you think of one part Portishead, one part “Dear Prudence” by The Beatles, but all the Legendary. Roots, that is.

VIDEO: Cam’ron & A-Trak’s “Dipshits”

Feeling that the 1990’s are no more, and you miss the era of Dipset supremacy? Maybe that time in hip-hop is long dead but Cam’ron wants to prove everything to the youngin’s and the old folks, and so did A-Trak, who joined Cam’ron and full on furs in a song they sarcastically call “Dipshiots”, showing that the Dipset mentality can still be alive despite the burden of a big bag of wet hamburger buns.

SOME STUFFS: “Gold Gone Wine” says A-Trak for new tour

 photo ATrak_old_zps6ff19409.jpg
A-Trak is going for nuts and broke in 2014 with three projects completed and ready for release before the summer comes around. One is an EP with Luger called Low Pros, another is the Federal Reserve EP with rapper Cam’ron, and then a Duck Sauce album called Quack. You might say A-Trak has gone quackers, but that’s corny so I’m not even going to bring that up.

What I will bring up is the fact that he has shows set up for a one month tour beginning at the end of May and going throughout June. He will be joined by Salva, but the tour is said to have plans for many others to pop in and out, so be aware of this.

May 30… Boston, MA (Paradise)
May 31… New York, NY (Terminal 5)
June 6… Toronto, ON (Hoxton)
June 7… Detroit, MI (Elektricity)
June 12… Minneapolis, MN (Muse)
June 13-14… Chicago, IL (Spring Awakening)
June 19… Washington, DC (9:30 Club)
June 20-22… Dover, DE (Firefly Festival) (exact dates not announced yet)
June 26… San Diego, CA (Fluxx)
June 27… Denver, CO (Gothic)
June 28… Austin, TX (Emos)

As for that project with Low Pros, you can have a taste of it now with help from Travi$ Scott. Listen to “100 Bottles”, which you may also download for free while supplies last.

SOME STUFFS: Stream Jack Beats’ new EP in full

In full, as in “three songs”, but it’s music you are able to listen to for free before you decide to buy it. It’s the new Jack Beats EP called Remixed Vol. II (OWSLA). Three weeks ago I presented to you a song remixed by A-Trak, now you’re able to hear more. Two more, as a matter of fact, so have a blast with this.

More you like? I’m going to end this post with a new A-Trak remix of Phoenix’s “Trying To Be Cool” but A-Trak isn’t trying to be cool, he knows he’s cool, you know what I’m sayin’ in a Flavor Flav fashion?

VIDEO: A-Trak featuring Galantis’ “Jumbo”

This song is not called “Gumbo”, nor does it sample any songs by Gumbo, the Arrested Development offshoot group who released the song “Basement Music” on Chrysalis Records. Instead, it’s called “Jumbo” and it’s performed by A-Trak, who released it on Fool’s Gold. Dig it, or not.

The label has also released the Tuna Melt EP on tuna-colored vinyl. Try to beat that. It is available directly from Fool’s Gold Records.

VIDEO: A-Trak & Tommy Trash’s “Tuna Melt”

Sometimes the most basic music can become hugely popular. Case in point: “Tuna Melt”, a new one by A-Trak and Tommy Trash. I guess if it pays well, make it sell, right? I do like the dominoes in the video.

SOME STUFFS: A-Trak heads on a spring tour, offers some “Short Cuts”

A-Trak photo ATrak_old_zpsa8121c56.jpg
Let’s just cut to the chase, shall we? A-Trak, you know him, maybe love him, a select few lust for him. He will be going on tour, or more specifically, two different tours: one here in North America, and one across the pond. Dates? Yes, I have them. First set are club dates for the April Fools tour, because it takes place in a few days:

April 2… Los Angeles, CA (Echoplex) *
April 3… Vancouver, BC (Celebrities) *
April 4… San Diego, CA (Voyeur) *
April 5… Los Angeles, CA (Red Bull Thre3Style)
April 13… Indio, CA (Coachella Party) TBA
April 17… Boston, MA (Prime)
April 18… Toronto, ON (Hoxton)
April 19… Providence, RI (Brown University)
April 20… New York, NY (Webster Hall) ^

* with GTA
^ with Oliver

Second tour will be “A-Trak vs. The World”, as he heads overseas:

April 24… Munich, DE (8 Seasons) (vs. Jackmaster)
April 26… Poznan, PL (Electronic Beats Festival) (Solo)
April 27… Bourges, FR (Printemps de Bourges) (Solo)
April 30… Paris, FR (34 Marbeuf) (vs. Mark Ronson)
May 2… Amsterdam, NL (Paradiso) (vs. Mark Ronson)
May 3… London, UK (FabricLive) (vs. Just Blaze)
May 4… Zurich, CH (Kaufleuten) (vs. Tiga)
May 5… Belfast, UK (The Limelight) (vs. Tiga)

The A-Trak vs. The World is called as such because as you can see, he will be teamed up with some well known DJ’s along the way. What will he be doing? He may be doing a bit of what he presents in the below video, a new installment of his Short Cuts YouTube video series.

VIDEO: A-Trak featuring Juicy J, Jim Jones, Flatbush Zombies, El-P & Flosstradamus’ “Piss Test (Remix)”

If there’s one word I had to use to describe the video for “Piss Test (Remix)”, it would be noodles. Pure noodles. That’s what A-Trak did when he brought together all of these rappers and MC’s to pull off a track that reeks of beer and crotch. It’s perfect for the club, it’s a pussy rhyme, and you’re sure to have a good time after hearing this one. As for El-P… oh man.

There’s a few cameos in this one, including one from a guy who used to insure that he would never wear the same underwear or socks twice. Get to that.
