REVIEW: Action Bronson’s “Mr. Wonderful”

Action Bronson photo ActionBronson_cover_zpsr0qa3ls9.jpg Action Bronson is back with a new one called Mr. Wonderful (Vice/Atlantic) but is he wonderful? He is very much that, and he is better than a lot of rappers getting attention these days for being good but the different is that A.B. has skills, great lyrics, and a flow that has made people compared him to this generation’s Ghostface Killah. I think what people love is the passion that is heard in these flows and with a sense of humor that is upfront, Action Bronson is not hiding behind any curtains. When he’s serious, he will let you know directly and make you a true believer. When he wants to crack a joke, he’ll do so like a comedian where his path is designed to pull you in and make you bust out in laughter. Tracks like “The Rising”, “Terry”, “City Boy Blues”, and “Galactic Love” make me, hell, make us wish everyone was still doing hip-hop in this manner, where the samples (or nice interpolations of it) make you want to dig for more records just to find the most obscure grooves. The construction of this album is not boring or lackluster, everything that is needed to make a hip-hop shine nicely is here. This is easily one of the best albums of 2015, of any genre.

VIDEO: Action Bronson featuring Chance The Rapper’s “Baby Blue”

Action Bronson’s new album, Mr. Wonderful (VICE/Atlantic), was released today and his new video also comes out as well, where he heads up to Queens, New York with a Coming To America-style flashback. His sense of humor is great, so have a watch and go back with him too.

AUDIO: Action Bronson featuring Chance The Rapper’s “Baby Blue”

Putting is what Action Bronson makes and eats on a regular basis and he shares the reason why he likes those flavors on a song from his forthcoming Mr. Wonderful album called “Baby Blue”. It is said that the color blue is not appealing to people who want to eat but I say hey, get some food coloring and dye your pudding blue, see what happens. Chance The Rapper wants to slap you alongside Action Bronson so listen and see where the pudding will lie next. The album will be out on the 24th of March.

VIDEO: Action Bronson’s “Actin’ Crazy”

The man is acting crazy, enough to where Action Bronson said “YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GOD DAMN FAKA? I WANT TO LET THE WORLD KNOW I AM ONE OF THE CRAZIEST SHAKAMS IN MY MACKAFRAMALAM” and he did by writing and recording “Actin’ Crazy”, a song that is on his new album Mr. Wonderful. You can see it above, not below because I didn’t place anything there. The album will be out on the 24th of March.

SOME STUFFS: Action Bronson is now a major label artist with release of new album

Come spring, you’ll be able to see Action Bronson stapled nicely with two strong logos, in this case Vice and Atlantic Records. Yes, the rapper is now signed with a major label and his album with Vice/Atlantic will be called Mr. Wonderful, which is to feature productions from The Alchemist, 88 Keys, Party Supplies, and Mark Ronsom among others. Other folks appearing on the album include Meyhem Lauren, Big Body Bes, and Chance The Rapper and who knows who else Bronson will be throwing into the mix at the very last minute, so we’ll see. The album will be out on March 24th so I’m sure a few songs here and there will be reaching the surface until then. In fact, here is one called “Actin’ Crazy”, this one produced by 40 and Omen.
