VIDEO: Bambara’s “All The Ugly Things”

Swarm (Arrowhawk) is the new album by Brooklyn trio Bambara and they’ve made a nice video for one of its songs, called “All The Ugly Things” but are there actually things that are ugly in the video? Beauty, as well as ugliness, is in the eye and mind of the beholder but regardless of how you think they (or someone in the video) look, how about the music? That’s the main focus.

There was some good news reported last week about the new album by Bambara but now there’s a small bit of bad news, and it’s only a small bit. Originally they were going to release Swarm (Arrowhead) on March 4th but they have pushed it to another month, so rub out that date and replace it with April 1st.

SOME STUFFS: Bambara share song from album due out in the new year

Sophomore slumps are not liked when a band gets blasted by the term from journalists but Brooklyn trio Bambara are hoping to avoid that in 2016 when they release their second album, Swarm (Arrowhawk). Listen to “An Ill Son” and perhaps it will sound ill to you, and I mean “ill” in a positive way. The vinyl pressing can be pre-ordered directly from Arrowhawk Records.

Bambara are doing a bunch of shows this month beginning tomorrow, and you’ll be able to see them with a number of other groups, including Algiers. Check out where they’re be and if they’ll be near you, head out and have fun:
October 2… Salt Lake City, UT (Kilby Court) *
October 3… Denver, CO (Larimer Lounge) *
October 4… Kansas City, MO (Vacant Farm)
October 5… St. Louis, MO (Firebird) *
October 6… Chicago, IL (Empty Bottle) *
October 9… Athens, GA (Caledonia) ^
October 11… Brooklyn, NY (Music Hall Of Williamsburg) *
December 11… Brooklyn, NY (St. Vitus) %
