BOOK’S FOODIE: Blue Milk Breakfast Sandwich (from Epic Meal Time)

With the new Star Wars movie just a few days away, are you looking to greet the day with a breakfast suitable for the viewing? Of course you might also be asking “why even have breakfast?” but no matter. The folks at Epic Meal Time have made a Blue Milk Breakfast Sandwich as part of their Handle It segment, where you’re able to see host Harley Morenstein put together the dish. It involves blue milk and blue chocolate chips and if you are now asking yourself “how in the world do you get blue chocolate and what does this have to do with Star Wars?”, now it’s your time to press play and find out.

BOOK’S FOODIE: 100% Natural Banana Pancakes (gluten free)

This recipe for banana pancakes requires only two ingredients: the aforementioned banana and eggs. That’s it. I think this is something that everyone should try, or at least those who aren’t allergic to or have a distaste for bananas. You can print out the recipe by clicking here. This comes from Cassey Ho and the BlogilatesTV channel.

BOOK’S FOODIE: The Brothers Green put together a “Dirty Breakfast Burger”

The Brothers Green are crafty again in the kitchen with a new sandwich, this time a breakfast sandwich. I love my breakfast sandwich and this is one I must make myself, one they’ve called The Dirty Breakfast Burger that involves maple ketchup and jalapeno bacon cream cheese. WHAT?!? Exactly, and it seems extremely easy to make. Let’s watch together.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Fluffy Pancakes and Classified Topping (from French Guy Cooking)

My love of breakfast cannot be designed and while there are days when I’ll go through a week of just breakfast cereal, I do like to cook it up and one of the best ways to do it is with pancakes. The French Guy Cooking channel decided to show some of his breakfast making skills by putting together some fluffy pancakes and not only that, but he is adding something that cannot be discussed. At least, until you watch it. This time out, the French guy gets a bit of help from some people you should recognize if you are a fan of food-related videos on YouTube.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Huge Omelet Challenge (from Furious Pete)

I enjoy egg dishes, but I can probably handle three at the most, and four is pushing it (and something I never do). However, someone in this video is going for not just an omelet challenge, but a HUGE omelet challenge. However, this isn’t just about an omelet. It’s a full on breakfast, which involves pancakes, steak, and a whole mess of stuff. It’s from a guy named Furious Pete, whose thing is to eat a hell of a lot of food and see what happens in the process. He does this specific challenge back home in Honolulu, and maybe he’s trying to outdo some of the local people who are most likely not eating as much as him but… I guess that’s Furious Pete for you.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Vegan Breakfast: Epic Breakfast Sandwich (from Edgy Veg)

For me, when I think of a breakfast sandwich, I tend to think about the ones they serve at fast food restaurants, although most of the ones I have are those I make myself. With that said, I’m a sucker for a fast food breakfast sandwich and while I’m not trying each one, I like to know what these places are doing. There’s nothing more satisfying than making one on your own, but I never thought of putting together a vegan version of a breakfast sandwich, even though I’ve had its contents in other forms. The Edgy Veg channel on YouTube recently posted a video where you can find out how to make a decent vegan breakfast sandwich. I don’t know about serving it with five slices of bread, those cabs will add up but then again if I was thinner and healthier, I could perhaps spring for five, eight, or ten slices if I wanted to.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Vegan Pumpkin Pie Smoothie (from Vegan Cooking With Love)

You had made a jack-o-lantern for this week, and now that Halloween is over, you have a bunch of pumpkin gook in the fridge and you don’t know if you should make a pie or just throw it out. Don’t throw it out. Try making a pumpkin pie smoothie, and this version is vegan friendly. The original version of this had used O gelatin but the recipe has changed it so that it is no longer used. This comes from the Vegan Cooking With Love channel.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Sausage McGriddle microwave recipe (from Brothers Green Eats)

Breakfast sandwiches? I love them. In years past, I would not have a problem eating one everyday, with two on other days. It’s not wise to do that, things must be done in moderation. I happen to be a sucker for McD’s sausage McGriddle, I remember trying my first and thinking “a pancake as a breakfast sandwich, with sausage? WHAT?!” I loved it.

There is nothing like making a homemade breakfast sandwich. It doesn’t matter how messy it is, it’s the process of it all, and the Brothers Green take to making a sausage McGriddle with a microwave. Watch the results.

BOOK’S FOODIE: Nutella French Toast Rolls (from One Pot Chef)

So you’re a Nutella freak, huh? You and a million other people, you are definitely not alone, and maybe as you’re spooning the jar, you wondered “what would this taste like on some of my favorite breakfast meals?” Maybe you already have it on a regular basis with pancakes or crepes but here’s a recipe of interest from the One Pot Chef: Nutella French toast rolls. BOO-YAA! Take that and make it in the morning (or anytime of the day, it’s your call.)
