SOME STUFFS: Spring is the season for new Cloud Nothings album

Cloud Nothings fans have been waiting for this, and it’s here. Well, almost here, as Here And Nowhere Else (Carpark/Mom+Pop) is the title the band have selected for their forthcoming release due out in late March/early April. The difference between this new effort and past efforts? Dylan Baldi says “It’s more subtle, it’s not just an in-your-face rock record. There’s more going on.” If you have fallen in love with this band and wanted to see how they were going to step things up, this album will provide some answers. Here’s one answer in the form of “I’m Not Part Of Me”

Here And Nowhere Else, the cover of which you can see below, will be worldwide release, getting a U.S. release on April Fool’s Day via Carpark/Mom+Pop, but they’re not joking around here. China/Hong Kong/Taiwan also get it on April 1st through the Hi-Note label. The UK and Europe will get the album a day before on Wichita Recordings. Japan will get it the week before, on March 26th, through Hostess. Australasia will release it on Stop Start on March 27th.

VIDEO: Bleached’s “Next Stop”

Director Lana Kim shot the new video for Bleached called “Next Stop” as a means to promote their forthcoming album on Dead Oceans called Ride Your Heart. The song is one of those “haul ass”-ers that will make you not think twice about going down a road so you can go down on it. The road, that is.

“Understand It All” is a song from Cloud Nothings‘ forthcoming debut album due out on January 25, 2011 on Carpark Records. Will his so-called “internet notoriety” work out for them? We’ll see.

RECORD CRACK: Cloud Nothings presents two sides of something

Cloud Nothings is a one man band in the studio, the “group” identity of one Dylan Baldi. His 2009 debut album was released last year on Bridgetown on CD and cassette. Today (February 23rd), Turning On makes its vinyl debut through Speakertree Records (order here.) The vinyl version features one extra song not on the CD/cassette version, and comes with a download code so you can have the entire album as MP3’s.

Cloud Nothings is keeping busy with a brand new 7″ 45 on the Group Tightener label called “Morgan”/”Another Man”, with “Another Man” being a non-LP B-side (nice). Only 250 copies of the 7″ have been pressed. You can download “Morgan” as an MP3 from the Gorilla vs. Bear blog.
