Late last year I told you about a new album from black metal band Code that would be released in the winter of 2015. Winter is here and mut (Agonia) will be released in Europe on February 27th, March 10th in North America. You can now hear a tune from it called “undertone”, which may true to its title. You may quickly discover that they’re branching out of their death metal roots and trying a few progressive textures, which is said to be where they’ve explored on the new effort.

It has been four years since England’s Code released their second album, the Spellemann Award-nominated Resplendent Grotesque. In 2013, Code’s junior album will hit stores and online merchants in November. Augur Nox (Agonia) will be released in digital and CD, but the vinyl pressing of the 2-record set will be available in three different color variations:

* standard black
* bone white with transparent green
* bone white with transparent clear

All pressings will come with a 16-page booklet, while the color vinyl pressings will come with a poster. For a preview of the album, check out the song “Glimlight Tourist”, which shows hints of power, speed, and black metal, and a bit more. Europeans will get the album on November 19th, North America a week later on the 26th.
