REVIEW: Coliseum’s “Sister Faith”

Coliseum photo Coliseum4th_cover_zps7c68bb80.jpg These guys are now four albums into their discography, and Coliseum are hitting it hard with their brand of raunchy rock’n’roll with hits of punk and hardcore, and they’re calling this one Sister Faith. These guys rip it in a fashion not unlike Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age, Motorhead, Duh, Suicidal Tendencies, or Social Distortion, where you can’t tell half the time what the singer is saying but the music is enough of a fwack to keep you going. In other words, Coliseum are a band that makes it feel like they would punch you upon first sight, but when you hear something off in their music like a tamborine or an organ, you realize it’s much more than the heaviness factor that makes the band and their music work. It’s gutsy and raw as the best rock’n’roll should be, and the type of stuff that many would say will save the world, but may be considered out of fashion by industry fools. Who cares about the industry at this point, let Coliseum rock you where it hurts so it can leave you on the bathroom floor while it snatches the wallet from your back pocket. It is that type of rock’n’roll.

VIDEO: Coliseum’s “Bad Will”

Sister Faith (Temporary Reisdents) is Coliseum’s forthcoming album due out on April 30th (pre-ordering can be had here or below via Amazon), and the group have created a beautifully shot video for the first single, called “Bad Will”. The video ends in bad will as well, but you have to see it to understand what I speak of.

Coliseum will be hitting the world in May towards filling coliseums… or at least small venues, clubs, bars, and places where you’ll be able to rock out in fine fashion with a number of other bands along the way:

VIDEO: Coliseum’s “Black Magic Punks”

If you’re into late 60’s/early 70’s horror films from Italy or enjoy the eerieness of movies from that era, you are sure to appreciate “Black Magic Punks”, the new video from Coliseum. These guys will be releasing an album through Temporary Residence Ltd. on April 30th called Sister Faith, and these guys are filling the void that you weren’t aware existed. Get in that void, because Coliseum are there to save your corrupt soul.
