Did you like David Wax Museum a few days ago when I posted a link to their song “Born With A Broken Heart“? Loved it? Now you can see a video counterpart to it, and it’s very nice.
The song is from their forthcoming Everything is Saved album, scheduled for release on February 8, 2011.
David Wax Museum are a Boston duo consisting of one David Wax (thus his music, like the experience of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, is the museum) and Suz Slezak. Together they’ve been writing and recording music, and taking that to the people. With two albums behind them, they’re about to release a third album on February 8th, Everything Is Saved. They are bringing to it a few instruments that should be familiar to fans of music from other cultures, such as the jarana and the donkey jawbone, and perhaps bringing the unfamiliar to people will open their hearts and minds to the Museum and other folk-based sounds, to return them and us to becoming common folk again.
You can download a song from the forthcoming album right now. The song is called “Born With A Broken Heart” (3.12mb). If you want to hear more, check out a recent segment about the duo by heading to NPR.org.
