As I go through the webosphere throughout the day, I came across this release and discovered an album was going to be released very soon. How soon? How about tomorrow? The artist is named Cherushii, whose best friends know her as Chelsea Faith, a San Francisco-based electroni artist whose album is called Memory Of Water (100% Silk). It’s a cassette-only project but after hearing this, I want/have to hear more. It sounds like something I’d be completely into and it would do well within mixes from different DJ’s. If you’d like to hear some of her previous work, check out Cherushii’s official Bandcamp page.
Even with the success of his Music For Dancing EP, DJ/producer Robert Lux is not about to sit on his laurels. He has done a remix of “Dissolve”, the new single by Absofacto so if you’re someone who likes to be immersed in dance music, you may find this mix to be quite enticing.
This is going to be one of those videos that will be great to watch when high, or even if you do not do drugs, you’ll wonder if you just smoked something. It’s animated, or is it? It’s twisted, or is it? When you hear the song, you might think the visial concept would be fair and simple but it’s slightly on the trippy side, which is something Simian Mobile Disco & Roman Flügel may or may not have intended, but they certainly approved of how “Hachinoko” was visually translated. If anything, it will definitely get you to dance and nod your head, how you interpret these visuals is up to you.
“Do I Feel Lucky” is the latest track by Ruff Da Menace and if you’ve been paying attention to the clubs or social media, you’ll know there are a number of remixes of it circulating. This one takes the original to another level, courtesy of Seattle’s AJ Sorbello and Sir Kutz, who are collectively known as Original Soundbwoys. Their Facebook page is brand new so not much exploring going on yet, but some of you may already be familiar with their work on an individual basis. If not, and you want to hear the music that lead to their union, head to Sorbello‘s and SirKutz‘s Soundcloud pages.
Hidden Orchestra have a nice release out today from the good people at Tru-Thoughts.
