AUDIO: Blanche Blanche Blanche’s “Fisted”

 photo BlancheX3_cover_zpsd71f0314.jpg
They are not called Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, but they are Blanche Blanche Blanche and call Brooklyn home. The group have an album ready for release on November 5th called Breaking Mirrors (Wharf Cat) and they’ve decided to share a song from it called “Fisted”.

Sarah Smith and Zach Phillips are back as Blanche Blanche Blanche but they’ve expanded from a duo to a sextet, the first time they’ve done this in a studio setting. BBB brought in Adam Steck (bass), Quentin Moore (guitar), Colin White (guitar), and Jo Miller-Gamble (drums/e-drums) for their eighth album, and you’ll definitely hear the difference in their music, and probably witness in a live setting in a few weeks. They have only one show in their immediate future, so catch it if you can and wait for the announcement for more shows to come:

VIDEO: Ryan Power’s “Sweetheart”

This looks like it was straight pulled from a box of old VHS tapes, and it is a crazy and daring as you think it may be, just by looking at a single screenshot. It’s Ryan Power’s new song “Sweetheart”, taken from his album released yesterday called Identity Picks (NNA Tapes). If the sound (and visuals) generate a tingle in you, Power will be doing a small handful of shows later this month. Check him.
