Oregon singer/songwriter Jackson Boone made an album called Natural Changes
(which you can check out below via Bandcamp) and he ve made the first video from it in the form of “Runaway”, a wonderful acoustic piece that will make you wish for warmer days but comfortable blankets for bone-chilling nights with a significant other.
BTW: while the press release states Boone is from “Portland”, he actually resides in Cannon Beach, a town south of Seaside, Oregon, about an hour’s drive west of Portland. The video was shot in Cannon Beach and if the scenery looks familiar, you’ll recognize it as being used in the film Goonies.

The song can be downloaded for free, while supplies last.
Jackson Boone’s Natural Changes is ready to go but not just yet. He is making a new song available for all to hea rand this one is called “Moonbeam” described as featuring “acoustic guitar, dreamlike haze synth, softly echoing vocals, and fleeting harp strums for an extra fairy-like effect” by Stereogum. Ready to go for a musical ride? Proceed.
“The Dolphin Turned Into A Cat” may sound like an odd thing to say but that’s just the song title for a new song by Jackson Boone. The song is on his new album (his second) called Natural Changes, and this Portland artist is ready to take things wherever his music needs to be. His style of folk with a bit of psychedelic influences is sure to find a wider audience in the weeks, months, and years to come. He has two shows close to home coming up in the next month so if you’re in Rose City or up in Seattle, stop by and say hello.
