SOME STUFFS: King Dude & Chelsea Wolfe “Sing More Songs Together…” for everyone

King Dude and Chelsea Wolfe have made music together before, and they did it again for a 7″ coming out on the 25th of March on the Seattle-based label Not Just Religious Music. The record is aptly titled Sing More Songs Together…”, and only 1000 copies of the record are being made (500 copies on black vinyl, 300 on white, 200 in a black and white mixture). You may pre-order the record through Bandcamp, but you can listen to its A-side above. Both songs on the record are also streaming behind the Bandcamp link.

SOME STUFFS: King Dude offer brief video, prepare to head on brief west coast tour

This video was released five months ago and has only 154 views? Let’s change that. The guys in King Dude (no relation to guitarist Guy Mann-Dude) released an album last October called Burning Daylight (DAIS) and now they’ll be burning the evening light as they will be going on tour in the west, beginning next week in Seattle:

March 26… Seattle, WA (The Comet)
March 27… Portland, OR (Mississippi Studios)
March 29… San Francisco, CA (Elbo Room)
March 30… Santa Cruz, CA (Catalyst Atrium)
March 31… Los Angeles, CA (The Echo)
April 1… San Diego, CA (The Casbah)
April 3… Sacramento, CA (Luigi’s Fun Garden)

VIDEO: King Dude’s “Jesus In The Courtyard”

Take one part Tom Waits with one part Beat Happening with no parts Glenn Danzig, and you have some gothy/dreamy/steamy/eemi under pop by a guy who is a king. Well, he’s King Dude, and in this musical story called “Jesus In The Courtyard”, it’s about… I don’t know what it’s about, but what I like is that this sounds like the kind of song recorded in a town that sells only one brand of toilet paper, and it’s made in that exact down because they don’t believe in outsiders. Yet everyone is an outsider trying to get in trying to get out trying… it’s scary. All that echo and reverb stimulates my mind and rinds.

You’ll be able to hear more recho, reverb, and rinds on their forthcoming DAIS album on October 16th called Burning Daylight, but right now you’ll be able to see them in a live setting because they are touring.
