VIDEO: Kojey Radical’s “Cathartic Release”

The thin line between rap lyrics and the spoken word disappears with this one by London’s Kojey Radical. Upon listening, it may come off as a bit of social dlalogue read from the paper or off the head. Listen to it again, and one may imagine an instrumental being laid over it, as if the voice is an acapella that fights a song being pushed its way. It works both ways, and perhaps regardless of how it’s heard/listened to, it remains a “Cathartic Release” for everyone involved. Kojey is a member of The Greedy Anorexics and represents the Push Crayons collective.
