Her music is very much a part of her resume, and Kat Ouano has done a lot of music in the last 15 years. With new ventures in front of her, she has decided to put together a compilation of some highlights of that input in what she is calling MeowMix Retrospective Vol. 1. The second volume will follow next week so if you only know of the Kat O1O vibe but haven’t heard it yet, it’s the perfect time to do so and get down.

SOME STUFFS: Two new releases from La Femme Deadly Venoms
If you have yet to discover the music of La Femme Deadly Venoms, welcome yourself. They are Kat O1O, Lady Fingaz, Celskiii, Deeanndroid and together they create a very nice hybrid of jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, electro, and whatever else they feel like throwing in the mix at any given time, utilizing keyboard, turntables and mixers, and perhaps even more. As a collective, they released their debut EP last week. This week, Lady Fingaz places the welcome mat on her front door with Welcome To Lady Fingaz Lab, presenting her musical perspective of the quadrant.
If you are in San Francisco this Friday, La Femma Deadly Venoms (sans Kat O1O) will be performing at the Elbo Room (647 Valencia St.) between 10pm-2am as a means to have a release party for the new music.
