If you’ve been looking for a pop song that sounds nothing like the lame pop that is plaguing the airwaves or digital medias these days, havea listen to “Oz Vs. Eden”. It’s a track by Lawrence Rothman that he made for the now times. As for the assisted voice, that is indeed Charli XCX.
Singer/songwriter/musician Lawrence Rothman is preparing for 2016 to release his debut album and as a hint of what he has planned, check out this song called “California Paranoia”, which features Angel Olsen.
Director Floria Sigismondi has created a nice video that begins with gospel suffering, or at least the sound of sacred pain of some sort. It’s “#1 All Time Low”, and the way to archive those lows is to put it into song and video form, so Lawrence Rothman: thank you for doing so. Now let’s all suffer together.
He’s not related to Makua or Koa, he is his own man and his name is Lawrence Rothman. He is signed to Mamaroma, and the video for his new single was directed by filmmaker and Mamaroma owner Floria Sigismondi. Outside of digital, the single has been pressed in a limited edition of only 200 copies. You may pre-order your copy from the Bandcamp player below.
