VIDEO: Open Mike Eagle & Paul White’s “Dang Is Invincible”

Animation is strong in “Dang Is Invincible” and what does it meant to say dang to a music video? Do they mean dang in itself is invincible or “dang (comma) is invincible?” and wouldn’t that statement leave people hanging? Anyway, here it is. Hella Personal Film Festival is the album this is taken from.

Open Mike Eagle’s latest EP is called A Special Episode Of (Mello Music Group) and if you haven’t heard of or about it, check out the video he made for one of its tunes, the massively-pumping “Ziggy Starfish (Anti-Anxiety Raps)”. A few of you may think it’s musically different from what is known for but others will say ‘this is very much on that Mike Eagle vibe”. The song was produced by Gold Panda.

VIDEOS: Open Mike Eagle gets to “Jam In The Van”

In this installment of the great online video series Jam In The Van, Open Mike Eagle finds his way to Los Angeles, brings in an Arturia MiniLab and an effect pedal to perform three songs, done in a way you will not hear anywhere else but here. The performance has an intimate feel in that it’s not majorly technical, just a rapper/producer, a microphone, a laptop, and some power.

SOME STUFFS: Ardamus says he can’t be replaced on his new EP
Rapper Ardamus is from Washington, DC and he is so confident in his style and music that he knows no one will be able to fill his spot. His new EP is called I Can’t Replace Me Part 1: Improve, which means he is dividing the discussion on how he cannot be replaced, so you’ll have to wait to hear a part 2. The EP features productions from another member of the Beats family, Kiza Beats, along with Nick Tha 1da, Soulful!, Pig Pen, and more.

VIDEO: Open Mike Eagle featuring Kool A.D.’s “Informations”

SOME STUFFS: clipping. release a new single
If you have been digging the style of clipping. and have wondered if they’re going to release anything more after their Sub Pop album, have patience. For now, they’ve released two brand nw song, and they are posse cuts of sorts, “Something They Don’t Know” and “Mouth”. The songs feature the likes of Black Mushroom, Chinaka Hodge, Signor Benedict The Moor, Nocando, and Open Mike Eagle, but where they are positioned in the songs (and which song) depends on… well, looking at the Bandcamp page to see where they’re at.
