VIDEO: Boogarins’ “Erre”

Boogarins’ brand of trippy rock’n’roll gets visually turned into something that is very much eye candy, as the sound is ear candy for anyone who listens to this band. “Erre” is the song, As Plantas Que Curam (Other Music Recording Co.) is the title of the album, and Brazil… well, you know.

What you will find out are tour dates, as Boogarins will be hitting the road starting tomorrow. This will definitely be a must-see concert and tour, do not pass this up. If you are going to SXSW, head to their performances.

RECORD CRACK: Satan’s Satyrs return with first music in two years

 photo SatanSatyrs_PS_zps5dd2381a.jpg
Die Screaming marks the return of Satan’s Satyrs, who have been dormant since they released their last album Wild Beyond Believe. When I read a descriptions that involves a “three-dimensional orgy of forbidden delights”, I want and have to know more. Bluesy, trippy, psychedelic, and far out are some of the ways you can describe the heaviness of this band, who are previewing the album with a 7″ single on Trash King Productions, “Black Souls” b/w “There’s No Escapin’ (The Power Of Satan)”. The record will be pressed on both black and orange vinyl, with only 300 copies being done for the orange version. Pre-orders are being taken now towards its release in April. Head to for ordering information, and click the Bandcamp player for a listen to “Black Souls” in the flesh.

VIDEO: Pink Frost “Ruins”

From their album Sundowning comes a new one from Pink Frost, this one called “Ruins”. Note: none of the footage features will bring you to ruins so you are safe in watching this. Unless the music does damage to you, but that may be a good thing.

VIDEO: Far-Out Fangtooth’s “Beyond Your Bones”

Director Rob Orlowski did this for Far-Out Fangtooth because the band were about to release an album. That album, Borrowed Time (Siltbreeze), was released yesterday and now you can watch another visual display at hand with “Beyond Your Bones”.

SOME STUFFS: Pink Frost offer first video from “Sundowning” album

Pink Frost – The Difference from Pink Frost on Vimeo.

Sundowning (BLVD/Notes & Bolts) is the brand new album by Pink Frost released last month, and now to get the juices flowing, a video has been made for one of its songs, the album’s first (which sounds like a promise there will be at least another on the way). This one is for the song “The Difference”, directed by Drew Reynolds.

If you’d like to hear the album, you may stream it here.

The band formerly known as APTEKA have one show on the way in Chicago:
October 31… Chicago, IL (Beat Kitchen) ~

VIDEO: Boogarins’ “Lucifernandis”

Director MaurĂ©lio Toscano helped out Brazil’s Boogarins to make a video for their As Plantas Que Curam album for Other Music Recording Co. on October 1st, and it’s for the far out song (with a far out title) “Lucifernandis”. Those who love the warmth of cassette will be able to buy As Plantas Que Curam through Burger Records.

SOME STUFFS: Far-Out Fangtooth want you to “Bow Your Head” to this

Far-Out Fangtooth have a second album ready for release on Siltbreeze called Borrowed Time. You can pick up your copy on October 29th, but right now you can listen to a song from it. They request that as you listen, you “Bow Your Head”. It is their omen of integrity. Do it. Okay. Proceed.

SOME STUFFS: Pink Frost stream new album in full

Pink Frost have decided to stream their new album Sundowning (BLVD/Notes & Bolts) for free on release day. The band will be honoring the new album with a release part in their Chicago hometown on September 28th at The Empty Bottle.

VIDEO: Purson’s “The Contract”

If you love your psychedelic music or progressive rock with a heavy groove, check out Purson. “The Contract” sounds like something that someone made on the crossroads between The Moody Blues and King Crimson, but may be headed towards somewhere else. The song is the second single from Purson’s debut album, The Circle And The Blue Door (Rise Above/Metal Blade), and the single itself will be released with a new song, a non-LP track called “Blueprints Of The Dream”. William Cunningham directed this for the band.

SOME STUFFS: No slump for Far-Out Fangtooth with new album

 photo FarOutFangtooth_old_zpsd7322b5b.jpg
A second album is on its way from the Far-Out Fangtooth kids, this one being released on Siltbreeze and will be titled Borrowed Time. October 29th is when it will be passed out to the world, but you’re now able to listen to one of the songs from it called “Mother Nature Fetish”. If there is anything good to have a fetish for, it’s probably mother nature, but just watch out when you end up stroking on trees.

Borrowed Time was produced by Justin Pittney and engineered by Paul Cobb last fall at Cobb Studio just outside of Philadelphia. The entire album was recorded on 16-track, recording directly to 2 inch tape before being mixed to digital. You may get a feel for that warmth with the track below, which you may fetishize or not.
