AUDIO: Liz’s “When I Rule The World”
Liz is back with a brand new song and if you haven’t heard the news, she is now signed to Mad Decent/Columbia. It means that yes, she is now a major label artist. Her new one is called “When I Rule The World”, produced by Sophie, and I really hope that this will help bring her more deserved hits because I like her voice, her energy and attitude she shows in her videos and I hope that helps her gain a greater success.
VIDEO: Jimm McIver’s “Witchcraft”
A pop/rock artist is doing a song with a very nice soul/R&B touch, sometimes when you’re able to do it, you be sure to do it right. That is what Jimm McIver has done with the very crafty “Witchcraft”, which may make some people think of The Jam’s “A Town Called Malice” while others may hear the sounds of soul sides on Atlantic or Motown. The song can be found on his new Green Monkey album Sunlight Reaches, released today.

The song begins with a vibe that sounds like it was influenced by Keyshia Cole and then it goes into a different place, a nice place at that. While the description calls this a “mellow hip-hop ballad”, this is not hip-hop. This is an R&B song from start to finish and this could become your personal anthem for the summer. Make it happen by listening to Sapphyria and hope she’ll be making/releasing more music in the future.
