AUDIO: Red Fang’s “Not For You”

Only Ghosts (Relapse) is an album from Portland’s Red Fang that will be out in two weeks and while you’re pre-ordering it below via, check out a track from it called “Not For You”.

The album will be available in a standard version as well as a deluxe, pick and choose.

AUDIO: Red Fang’s “Flies”

Only Ghosts will not be out for another three months but the album is over and Red Fang are probably figuring out how to be goofy in the video for the song that is sure to be visualized because a lot of times when a song surfaces, that will be the first one to be turned into a video, but will it? “Flies” is the song, get a hint for what the album is about and rock out. How about this for a change: don’t be goofy in this video until the last 30 seconds. Be normal for a change, show what Portland rock is, has, and always will be about, honor the power of Poison Idea, Hazel, or The Wipers and rock out without the mock out. Then be a mock again and carry on with your lunatic selves.

Not a good idea? Eh, here’s “Flies” nonetheless, make sure your ears do not bleeze upon listening. The album can be pre-ordered below via

It has been ten years since Japan sludge rock trio Boris have released their album Pink and in honor of its 10th anniversary, they are going to release it as a deluxe edition in both the vinyl and CD formats. The LP will be a 3-record set while the compact disc version will be a double disc. The covers for each is just a slight variation of one another, with the vinyl pressing on the left, CD on the right.

VIDEO: Windhand’s “Two Urns”

Grief’s Infernal Flower (Relapse) is the latest album from the gracious Windhand and half a year after its release, it is still as strong and powerful as it was in September. If you’ve had the album for awhile, you’re going to love what they did with the song “Two Urns” but if you’ve been hesitant to get this, maybe this will be the reason for you to get a copy.

VIDEO: Sleep’s full set at Southwest Terror Fest in Tucson, Arizona last month

When Sleep released their Volume One album in 1991, I was immediately floored. 24 years later, the band continue to show why the remain the best in what they do. I missed out on this when it was announced almost a month ago but the band performed at the Southwest Terror Fest in mid-October, blowing the entire crowd away with their sinister and heavenly dirges. This is the complete 90 minute set, and here is the set list:

  • Dopesmoker
  • Holy Mountain
  • The Clarity
  • Dragonaut
  • Sonic Titan
  • Aquarian
  • Antarcticans Thawed
  • Dopesmoker
  • VIDEO: Windhand’s “Crypt Key”

Jordan Vance directed the new one by Windhand called “Crypt Key”, taken from their new album called Grief’s Infernal Flower (Relapse), which will be out on September 18th. Be patient, it’s just around the corner.

VIDEO: The Vintage Caravan’s “Crazy Horses”

This “Crazy Horses” has nothing to do with the well known Osmonds song, but it’s a stoner rock soon-to-be classic by The Vintage Caravan, who have released an album last week called Arrival, which fits them alongside ABBA. Will they become monarchs like ABBA? If you listen to this, you might say “oh hell yeah”.
