Seattle trio Tangerine are going on a tour this spring and they are so eager to do it, they’re doing it a week in advance. They hit the road beginning next week Sunday and will be heading to SXSW this year. They’re going through North America and will end up close to home by appearing at this year’s Sasquatch music festival in the Gorge at George. Check out the coordinates:

SOME STUFFS: Bambara moves release date of forthcoming album, announce more shows for late winter/early spring tour

There was some good news reported last week about the new album by Bambara but now there’s a small bit of bad news, and it’s only a small bit. Originally they were going to release Swarm (Arrowhead) on March 4th but they have pushed it to another month, so rub out that date and replace it with April 1st.

In that article posted last week, I also showed how they’ll be at this year’s SXSW and now they’ve released more dates for their tour, including more specifics about where they’ll be at SXSW. Please take a glance:

SOME STUFFS: Bambara to release new album before heading to Austin for SXSW

If you’re a fan of Bambara, I have some very good news for you:

1) The band have recorded, mixed, and mastered an album called Swarm (Arrowhawk) and it will be released very soon: March 4th. You can pre-order it now directly from the label.

2) The Brooklyn band will have an album release show a week before its release at Palisades, and will be joined by Hubble, Pill, and The Men. They then will show a show in Atlanta in March while on their way towards Austin, Texas for this year’s SXSW. Check your coordinates:

SOME STUFFS: Yuck return to North American in March for touring duties, hear song from forthcoming album

As you can see, one of the members of Yuck has changed something that had been trademarked for a few years but this is the same ol’ Yuck band we know and love and there’s a double dose of good news.

For one, their new album will be out at the end of the month called Stranger Things and you can have a listen to a song, their new single, called “Cannonball”, which is not a cover but their own means of ammunition to your mind.

For two, the band are coming back to North America in March for a tour and with March being part of the itinerary, it means they are taking part at this year’s SXSW. They then return home and will do a tour of Europe in May before the group continues with any summer adventures being planned.

AUDIO: Grounders’ “Secret Friend”

Toronto-based band Grounders will be heading out of T-Town very soon with the release of their debut album on Nveado Records. The self-titled LP will be out on the 12th of May. They’ll have some east coast shows next month so you’ll be able to hear the new material but for now, you can listen to one of the album’s songs now called “Secret Friend”, which begins with synths right out of the early 1980’s before it turns into something quite remarkable.

There are still some people who don’t like the way Sally walks but Toronto’s HSY (“hussy”) will show you why Sally is very much someone of value. This is the group’s first new music since their 2013 EP and while this is part of a new single, there will hopefully be more music sometime this year. “Sally” will be released by Buzz Records very soon, and they are heading to Austin this year for the SXSW extravaganza.

Gateway Drugs are in no way related to the Iowa hip-hop group The Gateway Drug, they are an L.A. trio consisting of the Niles family, specifically Liv, Noa, and Gabe Niles, the offspring of Preston Niles, member of “The Knack (“Frustrated”, “Good Girls Don’t”). They want to show you how they rock by giving you a bit of “Head”. The song will be a slice of what will be Magick Spells (Cobraside), an album due out on March 3rd. If you’d like to hear and see more, they will head on tour with Swervedriver, which will lead them to SXSW:
