VIDEO: The Ocean’s “Demersal: Cognitive Dissonance (Live)”

Shot live last year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the Summer Slaughter Tour, The Ocean unleash the brutal “Demersal: Cognitive Dissonance” to a very devoted crowd. Helping out the band is Thy Art Is Murder vocalist Chris “CJ” McMahon, taking this performance to where it needs to be. The studio version of the song can be found on the Pelagial album on Metal Blade.

SOME STUFFS: Release day for two Boris albums

Photobucket
Fans have been waiting for a long time, and they will be rewarded today twofold. Boris have released two new albums today: Attention Please, and Heavy Rocks, and both are very different from one another. For those who wish to hear the group twist things to places they haven’t quite been to before, in terms of being more melodic and pop friendly, go for Attention Please. For those who wish to walk through their trademark molasses footpath of distortion, go for Heavy Rocks. The albums are available in the usual trendy digital formats (i.e. CD and MP3), but for you vinyl stalwarts, there are vinyl bundles being made available. You can find out more about buying your Boris records by clicking here.

As you wait for your records to arrive, Europeans will be happy to know that the group will be going on tour right before the official start of summer, bringing Russian Circles and Czech band Saade along for the ride (Russian Circles will start their tour a week before joining Boris on their tour.) The tour will take them to a number of venues, along with some festivals of interest. By mid-July, Russian Circles will depart from the tour and Boris will continue on with a few more shows. The June 18th show in Brugge, Belgium will be of interest as it will also feature The Ocean, Intronaut, and Red Fang on the bill, so show up early and enjoy each of them. Here are the dates:
