Get ready for The Proper Ornaments, if you haven’t already become familiar with them. This duo (Max Claps and James Hoare) are originally from Argentina but moved to London for perhaps a bit of fame and fortune, but primary to make some good music and see how successful they’re able to get with it. They’re now signed to Slumberland Records and will be coming out with an album on July 8th called Wooden Head. After four years of releasing their debut single, The Ornaments are ready to test their limits and fans who are willing to challenge themselves with their brand of pop and rock, from musicians who care about playing as much as the songwriting aspect. Find out by having a look at “Magazine”, which is reminiscent of early jingle-jangle pop on MTV.

It has taken a year for A Grave With No Name to put together a new album, but now it is a reality. Lefse Records will be releasing Whirlpool on July 2nd. For this album, the duo have stepped out of their bedroom dome and recorded this new one at a proper studio, Holy Mountain Studio in London to be exact, and this time they’ve worked with some of their friends, including Alanna McArdle of Ides, Akiko Matsuura of Comanechi, and Linda Jarvis of Echo Lake. Whirlpool is said to be the last part of a trilogy, so if you have their last two albums, you’ll be able to have proper musical closure.
