SOME STUFFS: Yuck to explore North America for winter 2014 tour

 photo Yuck1013_old_zps0903be78.jpg
An American coast to coast ordeal will be tried out, dried out, and suceeded. Does that make any sense? Probably not, but what I meant to say is that Yuck will be coming to America like The System but instead of landing in Queens, they will begin their North American tour in Philadelphia, travel across the country, hit Canada a few times before reaching the west coast before heading back to the east in mid-February. A solid month of Yuck, do not miss out on the opportunity to rock out with them. The group will be out to promote the album Glow & Behold (Fat Possum),

VIDEO: Yuck’s “Middle Sea”

Tennis seems to be the sport of choice in the new video by Yuck called “Middle Sea”, designed as a means to promote the band’s forthcoming album, Glow & Behold (Fat Possum), and it looks like they should be making souvenir headbands. If you wish, you may pre-order the vinyl and CD versions directly from Fat Possum Records, or through the Amazon links below.

VIDEO: Yuck’s “Age Of Consent (Live at RAK Studios)”

The yuckers of Yuck have an album coming out any day now, but they wanted to get into a studio to offer something else, a cover of one of their favorite songs. They chose New Order’s “Age Of Content”, and here it is.

Glow & Behold (Fat Possum) is the album that is on its way, and you may pre-order the vinyl and CD versions directly from Fat Possum Records, or through the Amazon links below.

SOME STUFFS: Yuck become unyucky with a revealing of a song from forthcoming LP

 photo YuckGB_cover_zps33b9a274.jpg
Are Yuck fans called Yucksters? Maybe with a band like Yuck, you don’t need pop-sensation monikers, for they are not pop at all but when they release their Glow & Behold album on Fat Possum, will they become the greatest band in the world?

I don’t know if anyone wants to be the greatest band, but Yuck are going to do what they must do to DOMINATE, and you can hear some of that tentative domination with a song from the forthcoming album, called “Middle Sea”.

October 1st is when Glow & Behold will be released, but you may pre-order the vinyl and CD pressings directly from Fat Possum Records. You may also do the same below through Amazon.

SOME STUFFS: New Yuck is a “Rebirth”

 photo Yuck_old_zpsbe02f546.jpg
The last time we heard from Yuck, they seemed to be doing a lot of shows but as with most bands, touring leads to a well-deserved rest. After taking their vitamins and getting into some songwriting, Yuck went back into the studio to record a brand new album with producer Chris Coad. That album will be released before the end of the year on Pharmacy Recording Co./Fat Possum, but you are able to listen to one of the tracks from it, called “Rebirth”, by heading to

AUDIO: Yuck’s “Chew”

Question for everyone: what does it mean to “yuckchew”? Go ahead, head to Urban Dictionary. Come back. Okay, what did you find? Jack shit, right? Because the word means nothing. What is in play is that damn good band Yuck and they have a new song called “Chew”, so you’re probably going “why in the hell did you make me go to Urban Dictionary in the first place?” With luck, you didn’t. You knew this was nothing more than a lure to keep you reading so you could go “damn, this Book guy is wacky and zany, but you know what? As I’m reading this, I’m tempted to take a listen to whatever this yuckchew is” and I have to remind you once more: the name of the artist I’m speaking of is a band named Yuck, and the song is called “Chew”.

As I write this, the band are getting ready to hit the stage at Coachella in half an hour. With luck, you may be reading this from the festival and saying “yes, I’m all about that yuckchew, even have my souvenir T-shirt.” They’ll return to Coachella next week Friday, but will be doing a number of other shows in California to keep people coming in for the Yuckchew movement.
