REVIEW: Eddie Daniels/Roger Kellaway’s “Live At The Library Of Congress”

Photobucket Eddie Daniels and Roger Kellaway have been brought together once again for a brand new album, this one simply called what it is: Live At The Library Of Congress (IPO).

The album can be considered follow-up to their 2008 collaboration, A Duet Of One, and if you enjoyed this, this will be a return to the creativity and fun you heard on that album. I believe what I had said about that album was that the title was a slight indication of the music: being played by two musicians but from one mind, or as if they know each other all too well and compliment each other incredibly. I could name songs that I feel should be spotlighted, but every song is a workout. I did like their take of Thelonious Monk‘s “Rhythm-a-ning”, so there, the adventure heard in Monk’s original is taken into the 21st century with this performance, and Monk would be tapping his feet with approval.
