AUDIO: Astari Nite’s “The Girl Who Tried”
“Astari Nite channels an obscure beauty in the crossfire between new-wave and post-punk” is what the press releases says but do want to believe it? I’m dingling a new track from them so I am hopeful it is enough to convince you to take a listen. It is from their latest EP Dreams Of Majesty (Cleopatra Records (US)/Danse Macabre (Europe)) and is the second single from it.
AUDIO: Stag’s “Midtown Sizzler”
When was the last time you’ve been to a Sizzler restaurant? When was the last time you visited the midtown Sizzler? Do you even have a Sizzler near you, or even a midtown? Maybe this song has nothing to do with either but Seattle’s Stag want to prove something to you with their track, grab a slice of Texas toast or don’t even bother to bring a fork. This is “Midtown Sizzler” and perhaps it is here for you to be satisfied in your own way. The full album will be out on August 4th,

AUDIO: Eternia’s “Broken Language (Remix)”
The ever-impressive Eternia went back to the 1990’s to revive an incredible classic to remind people how nice hip-hop used to be. It’s an update/upgrade to “Broken Language” and it makes me wish all of hip-hop in 2017 was this as intense as this song.
AUDIO: Endemic Emerald & Skanks featuring Rim & Shatike’s “Straight Out Da NYC”
There was a time when the Jungle Brothers spoke about being straight out the jungle. 27 years later, New York City may be cleaner and arguably nicer but Endemic Emerald and Skanks The Rap Martyr speak on the pride of the boroughs with “Straight Out Da NYC”. where they were able to team up with Shatike and Rim. The song is a hint of the forthcoming album due out on May 30th called Rapsploitation (No Cure/IDC).

Do not call this a comeback, for Adam Reverie has been here for years but he has a new track for you and he wants to share it with you. This one was produced by Clyde Strokes and it’s about having a “Passion” for it that can’t be denied. Now listen to this and don’t deny its power.
AUDIO: James Gardin & Terem’s “GO!”
This is not just a mere collaboration, this is an adventure and what an adventure this is. From Michigan is James Gardin, who worked with French producer Terem to do a song called “GO!”, which may have been done with a winter mentality but with hope that better things are ahead. More music from them will be on its way.
